Moyowosi South

Moyowosi South is the largest hunting area in the Moyowosi ecosystem. Spanning over 307,000 hectares it is by far the most legendary concession with unmatched game densities. Moyowosi South’s water reserves are also the host of a large mammal migration due to the dry conditions of Moyowosi North. This phenomenon occurs every year and creates a unique dreamscape for any hunter privileged to witness it.

Moyowosi South is located in north-western Tanzania neighbouring a huge national park of one million hectares and bordering the Malagarasi River; the main tributary of Lake Tanganyika. Wetlands and flood plains. Swamps and grasslands. Lush miombo forests surrounding the river dotted with secluded sandbanks and small islands. This is where bird lovers can leisurely contemplate the considerable numbers of different and rare species like the famous shoebill stork.

Passionate sport fishermen will find both happiness and the big catch in the dark waters of the Malagarasi River. Here dwells the formidable and combative tiger fish, always ready to put up a good fight.

DAY 1

International flight arrival in Kilimanjaro airport.
Meet and greet followed by a transfer to the hotel.

Morning flight with a private charter plane to Moyowosi South.

DAYS 3-13
10 full days all inclusive.

DAY 14
Morning flight with a private charter from Moyowosi South to Arusha or Dar es Salaam; meet and greet.
International flight departure in the evening.
